Due to the Federal Government changing the type of air conditioners that are made from a rating of 10 SEER to a 13 SEER, the association has had to make changes to the storage locations for some of the air conditioners. This will only affect certain units in the complex, and if you follow the guidelines listed below, you will not need to get board approval. This is important, because the board realized that when an A/C unit goes out, you want it fixed right then. These changes only affect you, if you are replacing your current A/C unit after September 15, 2006. Please check the chart to see where you’re A/C will need to be placed if you have to have a new one installed. If you have ANY questions regarding this situation, please contact Metcalf Realty Co., Inc. at (205) 879-2177. This information will also be placed on the Altamont Patio website, www.AltamontPatio.net.
