Board Meeting
Sept 28, 2004
5:00 p.m.
Attendees:
Wess Short, President
Presley Burns, Grounds, Vice-President
Jo Simspon, Secretary/Webmaster
Charles Baird, Treasurer

The meeting was called to order by the President, Wess Short at 5:05 p.m.
Old Business was postponed so Ms. Kelley could address the board concerning
her unit being broken into. She was to meet with Police to look at
photos the next day.
Old Business:
1) Satellite Dishes. Metcalf has not started fines for units not in compliance. Metcalf has twice been instructed by the board to do so. A letter to Metcalf was recommended.
2) Due to Hurricane Ivan, State Farm was not able to write a policy for the condo Insurance. The current policy with Auto Owners was continued for one quarter. State farm has been chosen by the board to insure the association beginning Next year.
3) Monies owed to the Association for work done by Wes Short have been paid. ( $50 ) Work preformed by Dan Hollingsworth ( ?) for an unknown unit do not appear to have been paid.
4) The amounts paid to Davey Tree service are in excess of the bid.
New Business:
1) Jo complained about the treasurer not receiving copies of the condo
bills. The board members also expressed displeasure in the way some
services were being performed and paid. It was recommended that all
services be bid, and the work inspected before paying the statements.
2) Various Board members complained about the responses offered by Metcalf to billing questions in the past.
3) Patty Barnett complained about various rotten boards around the complex. The board members asked patty to make a list and the problem would be addressed.
4) Charles Baird agreed to prepare the 2005 budget after receiving the October statement.
5) The treasurer noted that Metcalf is still being used to provide services for Wes Short, and being billed for the work. ( unit C3 $80 for Plumbing) This against the recommendation at the last meeting.
Meeting adjourned approximately 7:30 p.m
